Rainspan is an external wall sandwich panel designed to support mechanically fixed rainscreens on its exposed face. It combines the speed benefits of a sandwich panel installation whilst maintaining the ability to specify various rainscreen options.

Fire Performance

Rainspan panels offer a Euroclass A2-s1, d0 Reaction to Fire when tested and classified to BS EN 13501-1:2018.

Rainspan can also offer fire resistance performances from 60 minutes up to 4 hours Insulation and Integrity (to BS EN 1364-1:2015) depending on thicknesses and orientation. Specific performance information should be verified by our Technical Team on a project-by-project basis, to the correct standards.

Panel Options

Rainspan sandwich wall panels are an easy to install external solution, offering reaction to fire performance of Euroclass A2-s1, d0 when tested and classified to BS EN 13501-1:2018.

The BS EN 13501-2:2016 fire resistance performance of Rainspan panels is dependent on panel thickness, orientation and method of assembly.

Rainspan panels are supplied with a 0.7mm internal liner, and allow for rainscreens to be mechanically fixed to or through the 0.7mm external face.

Coatings

Rainspan is an external wall panel available with Colorcoat Prisma® in a variety of colours as the standard external coating option. Tata Steel Colorcoat Prisma®, Tata Steel Colorcoat PE25®, Tata Steel Advantica® L Control (FSL), and ArcelorMittal Estetic® Standard are all available as internal coating options, with the choice dependent upon the end use and environment of the building.
