Tata Steel's Confidex® Home guarantee has been specifically designed for the private dwellings sector.
The guarantee now includes coverage for ‘solar ready’ enhancement meaning that homeowners can install ‘clip and fix’ solar panels onto their Vieo product at any time, now or in the future, without impacting on the 25 year coating guarantee.

Therefore, with the 2025 threshold in mind, solar panels will have a definitive and vitally important part to play in the delivery of this greener future. The UK’s solar sector expected to double by 2030 so the new and improved guarantee will offer homeowners peace of mind that they have the option to improve their sustainability, with the added benefit of an additional 15 years on top of the standard 10-year NHBC guarantee.
Additionally, the guarantee is a direct agreement with Tata Steel meaning homeowners can benefit from the assurance that, in the unlikely event of a material fault, it can be promptly resolved and rectified without the need to go via ourselves or their home insurance. The Guarantee is also transferrable to a new homeowner in the event of the property being sold.
