A combination of Eurobond Panels and a Vieo standing seam façade has created a high performance and visually stunning building.
The Project
“Inspirational” and “Aspirational” are just two words used to describe phase one of the new Plymouth School of Creative Arts, a through school for pupils aged 4 to 16.
The 6,920m² building affectionately known as The Red House, located on a formerly derelict industrial area has revitalised this inner-city site, establishing a creative educational habitat for 4 - 16-year olds to connect in dynamic learning environment.
Just as the most forward looking and dynamic companies now employ flexible working spaces to meet differing roles, so the diversity of interactive, reflective and creative learning also requires new spaces. It is in creating such an innovative learning environment that pioneering architects Fielden Clegg Bradley has created a truly imaginative design in Plymouth.

The Result
A combination of Eurobond Wall Panels and a Vieo standing seam façade has created a high-performance and visually stunning building.
The external wall is constructed from horizontal Eurobond Panels fixed directed to the primary steel work to create a weathertight building.
The building has been externally clad with the Vieo standing seam wall profile, installed in varying modular width to create rhythm and variety.
Specified in a strong Flame Red Colour highlighting the artistic prominence of the school with a contrasting anthracite back wall.
