Elite roof and wall systems were the perfect solution to complete unit 5
The Project
The 160,000sq ft Indurent (formerly St. Modwen) development at the Cofton Centre, Unit 5 has achieved BREEAM Outstanding status as well an EPC A+ rating. The unit incorporates 1,600 m² of PV and is perfectly located 3 miles from the M5. The building also benefits from 15% roof light coverage to the main warehouse space.
The Challenge
The exacting project design challenged Euroclad to devise several bespoke details, including ‘book end’ corners to complement the wall elevations. The project’s specific detailing offered the enhanced appearance of a sleek profile corner, as opposed to a conventional flashing detail.
Another key bespoke design incorporated louvre flashings to include the review of multiple possibilities outside of our standard product offering to achieve a specified free air flow area which was determined by M&E requirements, whilst maintaining the visual profile appearance of the surrounding cladding areas. The detailing was developed and finalised in conjunction with our architectural fabrications team.
The Action
Euroclad supported with an in-depth design review to integrate the bespoke features into the Elite system product range. In doing so, we worked with the appointed architect and the developer directly.
Upon approval of the project specific design considerations, Euroclad produced a large-scale mock up sample at their manufacturing facility offering a representation of what the bespoke solutions would look like in a true as-built setting. This allowed for physical inspection of the finalised details. Innovation and collaboration were fundamental in this process.
The Results
To deliver the aesthetic vision of the project and meet the performance requirements of the project, Euroclad manufactured and delivered 11,300m² of our Elite 2 Range roof system, as well as 2,000m² of rooflights. The wall envelope was finalised with 5,000m² of Elite 51 Range vertically laid wall system and 2750m² of Elite 55 Range horizontally laid wall system, complemented by the bespoke louvres.
