Vieo has demonstrated its suitability for contemporary, traditional and even historical buildings. But at Chipping Sodbury Baptist Church it has combined all of the above to achieve something quite special.
The church was primarily built as a Sunday school in 1886 and is located off the main high street. Working with the client, Clifton-based Wotton Donoghue Architects devised a scheme that united these buildings, creating additional public spaces. To the front of the main building Vieo has been used to add a welcoming new double-height entrance foyer. The pre-existing single storey stone front entrance was retained within the new entrance to create further rooms, whilst maintaining the site’s history.
